President Franklin D. Roosevelt
On February 1, 1943, less than a year after signing Executive Order 9066 President Roosevelt would write in support of the Japanese American’s right to defend their country. In justice is showed when only some rights are allowed. The 442nd was composed of only Japanese-Americans and became the most decorated platoon.
Injustice: The fact that only some rights are recognized for some Americans while others aren't is a major injustice. Rights that will benefit the Country was recognized while those right that would benefit Japanese Americans was ignored. This shows an inconsistency in our governments views and actions.
However through fighting in the war and becoming the most decorated platoon, they fought against prejudice. Even though Japanese Americans had done nothing worthy to loose the trust of the American people they had to fight with bravery and valor to regain it.
